Thank you for visiting! My name is Rainey and I live in Austin with my girlfriend Anika who is an elementary school teacher. We both value the great outdoors, health, simplicity, creativity, and learning by doing.
I've worked at Microsoft for five years. My job is to improve the systems that turn hardware into usable Azure capacity. My professional focus is on cloud infrastructure, software systems, and data engineering.
I studied computer engineering at The University of Texas at Austin.
In my free time, I currently run Vanilla Software, a full-stack web design and development studio, working on products to solve a few problems that keep me and my friends up at night.
I also follow the domains of music, residential construction, and organic gardening/farming.
